About the Circus Meanders Festival

The Circus Meanders Festival brings the best of modern circus art, theatre, and creative activities to Český Krumlov. This new event builds on the successes and tradition of the International Festival of Contemporary Circus and Theatre Letní Letná, while also opening up space for a new cultural event in the South Bohemian region.

Czech Scene Performances

The festival aims to showcase the best in contemporary circus creation in the Czech Republic. The program includes both tent performances and open-air shows that are made free to allow a broad audience to experience an extraordinary circus atmosphere directly under the open sky.

Rich Program for Families and Children

The daily offerings of the festival cater to all age groups. In the afternoon and early evening hours, we present several performances designed for families with children. The accompanying program is largely free and includes workshops, merry-gorounds, and wooden interactive toys, allowing the whole family to enjoy a day in the spirit of the new circus.

Additional Activities

The festival area enjoys the relaxed atmosphere of a “circus town,” offering all visitors ample space for relaxation and gatherings. Circus and art workshops, outdoor installations, open-air performances, all accessible for free. The area is designed to be as barrier-free as possible to welcome visitors with various needs.

Circus Meanders takes place in the Municipal Park of Český Krumlov, which itself is one of the most significant UNESCO heritage sites in the Czech Republic. Visitors can thus combine the artistic experience with exploring the beauty of the South Bohemian town.

Tickets

Some performances will be available for pre-sale online, while other tickets can be obtained on-site during the festival.
