Festival of Contemporary Circus and Theatre

The Circus Meanders Festival brings the best of Czech contemporary circus, theatre, and related activities to the picturesque setting of Český Krumlov over several days. It originated as a joint project of the International Festival of
Contemporary Circus and Theatre Letní Letná, and the Český Krumlov Municipal Theatre, making it a truly unique new circus showcase in the South Bohemian region.

 

Visitors can look forward to not only evening performances by top Czech ensembles but also afternoon shows for children and families, art and circus workshops, a merry-go-round, and wooden interactive toys. A large part of the accompanying program is additionally free of charge. The atmosphere is complemented by open-air performances that are accessible to everyone for free.

 

Festival “Circus Town” offers a space for relaxation, refreshments, and the opportunity to meet with artists and new circus enthusiasts. The creation of the Circus Meanders Festival is built on the solid foundation and experience of Letní Letná and aims to establish a tradition that both audiences and artists will eagerly return to each year.
